Rangamati , a small town nestled between green hills , lakes and rivers , the Chittagong Hill Tracts . This is what makes it an excellent destination hill Bangladesh. It is known as the city of Lake Bangladesh as this place is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Kaptai . It is the administrative headquarters of the Rangamati Hill District , the largest district of Bangladesh located about 77 kilometers from Chittagong .

Kaptai National Park: This forest reserve is located in the Kaptai Karnafuly and range. According to government statistics, about 50,000 people visit the national park each year and offers a number of hiking trails among the lush green forests. Species of Kaptai National Park are deer, elephants, monkeys, fishing cats and birds. Kaptai Forest Rest House, Forest Rest House Mukh Kaptai and several picnic areas are located here.


 


Tribal Museum: The museum is located near the entry point to the city. Founded in 1978, is run by the Tribal Cultural Institute. Traditional decorations. costumes, ceramics, musical instruments, weapons, paintings and photographs, old manuscripts, sculptures and ancient coins of different strains are exhibited here. It is open from Saturday to Thursday except holidays.


Kaptai Lake: This was built in the 1960's artificial lake of Bangladesh over an area of about 11000km2, was established as a deposit at the Kaptai dam. The lake was created by the valleys and floodplains between many hills. This created a picturesque views and wooded hills and plateaus instead of water. Tourism Corporation government run and private operators provide Kaptai Lake Cruise Tours worth. Other tourist attractions are also accessible via waterways. 

Suspension Bridge: This 335feet long bridge over a portion of the Kaptai lake is an icon of Rangamati.



Peda Ting Ting: A small island in the Kaptai Lake, a few kilometers from Rangamati. It is especially known for its tranquility. There are a number of tourist accommodation facilities here and a small restaurant run by locals. Offers dishes ranging from traditional to local specialties. 


Shuvolong Falls: Shuvolong a place Borokol sub district, about 25 km (11 miles - as the crow flies) from Rangamati. Few Waterfalls in Shuvolong with the greatest fall from as high as 300 meters. In recent years, this place has become a tourist destination due to beautiful waterfalls and the nearby market. Shuvolong is easily accessible by boat or motorboat Rangamati.
